Well after the fire that consumed the old dining hall, the fireplace and chimney are all that remain standing in July of 1971.  Eventually much of the debris would be buried out in the kettles.

Without a dining hall, the kitchen staff prepared meals in a big tent donated by the Army through the hard work of Congressman Glenn Davis.  Thank goodness the weather was good all summer!

Beth calls this "Shy Cat" from first session girls camp, 1971.  I'll have her explain this later!

Ann Scholtes and Teri Sagen perform "Love" in the Staff Show of first session girls camp 1971.

The counselors take the stage for the Pajama Party during first session.  Anyone remember who won for best p.j.'s?

Shiloh tentmates must be heading to the waterfront.  Pictured are Susan Little, Marjie Besore, Pam Riedesel, Nancy Linde, Laurie Adamy, and Susan Swatek.

As they wait for their rides home, Shiloh campers Laurie Adamy, Susan Little, Nancy Linde, and Pam Riedesel page through a teen magazine.  Is that a picture of Donny Osmond?!?

Beth Matzek signs in on the wall of the Craft Shop in 1971.  At that time, the Craft Shop was located under the Lodge but at the other end of the basement from where it is now.

A magician entertains the campers during the Staff Show in second session girls camp 1971.  Who was that?

This Staff Show skit is called "Raggedy Ann & Andy", and it stars Laurie "Whitey" Whiteford and Jan "Herman" Thompsen.

Apache camper Michelle Lesage goofs around during free time.

During the second session Staff Show, Lynn Burnham and Debbie Berg perform the skit "Lambie".  Not sure who is hidden behind Lynn.

Amazingly, after all these years, Beth can still name all seven campers in this picture of the Apache tent!  The girls are Darlene Braun, Robin Christiaansen, Michelle Lesage, Penny Frangos, Caroline Mallat, Jackie Pabanz, and Christina Hugly.

A very popular skit during the late '60's and early '70's was "The Dating Game".  In this version,  a female staff member chooses from  Jerry "Swish" Frank, Rick DeFauw? (help), and Mike Toepfer.  Mike basically still looks like that!

The campers on the flagstones are treated to a water ski show in second session 1971.

The AC year must have been very busy for Beth Matzek as this is the only picture she has to offer for 1972!
